Wow-time flys when you are thinking about what to do with your blog! Taking a bit of the old with a dash of the new and hopefully something beautiful will emerge! Hope you join me! First up! A picture from my most recent AVON Girl’s Night Out party. I had such a great time the first time I decided to do it again. Hopefully I can stop chatting long enough to get some people pictures!!
Happy Mani Monday–pm edition!
Thought I would shake things up a bit and do an evening post.
Okay-totally overslept the alarm this morning hence the evening post.
This is my last fall inspired mani for this year and I took this inspiration from my favorite fall drink – Hot Cocoa! I used a dark brown and lovely rich purple which by the way would make a great duo for eyeshadow.
Products used: AVON Forbidden Fudge and Decadence.
Enjoy the last week of November and check back for this month’s fantasy makeup segment! I am very excited to share it with you!
See you next Mani Monday with Christmas Nails!!
Welcome to the Thanksgiving Edition of Mani Monday!
I absolutely love Thanksgiving week. It’s like the calm before the storm of activity hits with a bonus of especially good food and fellowship.
So, what is everyone thankful for this year?
I am thankful for my friends both old and new, my family, and my faith.
I am also thankful for a great set of nails.
All colors are from Avon:
Barefoot Beige, Lucky Penny, Gleaming Gold, Midnight Green, and Forbidden Fudge.
Wishing you a blessed, fun, and safe week!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Welcome to Mani Monday on a Tuesday!
Today’s mani is inspired by pumpkins and a dip dye technique that I saw on Polish Alcoholic’s blog.
Below is my rendition of this technique but check out NOTD: Dip Dye to see where the inspiration began!
All colors are once again from Avon which are still incredibly $3.49. I have been stocking up before the price decides to pop back up!
Base: Lucky Penny Color 1: Barefoot Beige Color 2: Vintage Boutique
Color 3: Forbidden Fudge Color 4: Midnight Green
What color combinations would you try?
Good Morning and Happy Mani Monday!!
This week I had the time to complete my ode to Tim Burton with a manicure inspired by “The Corpse Bride.” What I love about this movie, aside from the stunning visuals, is the story. I am a sucker for a love story. Yes even one that may be a wee bit off the beaten path.
Here are the colors for this look.
Base: Avon Urban Gray 3 coats
Colors: Avon Absinthe, OPI Greece Just Blew Me Away, Avon Licorice
Wishing everyone a great week! See you soon!!!!
It’s just another Mani Monday ooh-ooh!
In scheming up ideas for this week’s mani it came to me. Create my ode to Tim Burton through nails! So here it is, this week’s mani inspired by “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” This is my all-time favorite holiday movie and I adore when this theme takes over the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. This week I am not only posting the finished product but the steps I took as well. Enjoy!
Base coat: OPI: Greece Just Blew Me Away
Kinda created a V at the tip but any quasi design would work.
OPI: Movin’ Out
Just made one last stripe.
Avon: Gleaming Gold
okay-this is the slightly tricky part, but if I can do it so can you!
Using a thin paintbrush painted on black stitches by following the blocks of color.
and here is what I added for an additional bit of whimsy
Hmmm…I am suddenly in the mood to watch a movie. Wonder which one I should watch?
Have a great week and see you next Monday!
